So often it can seem that life is a struggle. We find ourselves facing unexpected problems or stuck in a cycle of destructive behaviour.
Isn't there more to life than this?
We believe that God speaks to us through his Word the Bible into the reality of our daily lives. God knows our frailties and our failures but he doesn't leave us to struggle on our own - he offers each and every one of us a way BACK TO LIFE.
The bible tells us that "God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16). No matter how bad things seem right now, eternal life can be ours if we believe in Jesus Christ.
We believe that God's love, strength, and wisdom provide a way for those who trust in Jesus to face up to the real temptations and struggles of daily life. We believe that he gives us his Holy Spirit to help us to stand when difficult times come. We believe the God is at work transforming the lives of his people to make us more like Jesus.
BACK TO LIFE is a meeting where anyone can come and find out about the help that God offers us in Jesus.
Each Thursday we begin at 1.00pm by sharing a meal together. Between 1.30-2.00pm we look at a passage in the bible and see how it helps us to face our daily struggles. There is the opportunity to share how things are going and to pray privately with someone about any issue. Then from 2.00-4.00pm we relax together with hot drinks and table games.
